cheers to your family too
those raindrops and lollipops we've seen them all this year
but none of them can compare to the sound of scherzos in the air
we played the gigue and the allemande
the pastorale for the yule
but none of them can compare to the magic of the fugue
but i'd rather play a special waltz for rudolph and his crew
and all night we'd dance by the moon
when santa's done with his global route
may we sing a little tune
a nocturne or a ballade will do
when the elves are done with their yearly work
and the new year is coming soon

the moments of each day would slip away i light the chimney with face full of smoke
these were colder times
don’t keep the jackets on the hooks
with icy breath we made our way down
remember colder days when its warmer
remember lonely days are right around the corner
show love to the friends you made
in the blizzard they will find you

one cold day
in the future will we ever be so sure
will we see the road through all the ice and snow on that highway 9
in my memory the lights are off and the children are asleep
